Micropenis

One of the cases where men would need penis enlargement surgery would be if they possess a penis under 2 inches, sometimes called a micropenis. It is usually something that is realized by doctors or parents at birth or shortly thereafter. Statistics show that only 0.6% of males are classified as having a micropenis. Scores of adolescents believe they may have this condition; however, many simply have excessive fat around the pubic area, or are experiencing delayed puberty and merely need to wait for future penile growth.

Treatment:

Most cases of micropenises are treated via surgery. Such treatment, however, is rarely performed on children and can usually be treated with simple hormone injections. Initial cases of micropenises would be misdiagnosed as the child being a female. This is less of an issue nowadays with DNA and genetic testing.

There are many psychological problems that can afflict one with a micropenis. Social norms are towards women with vaginas and men with penises. A person who appears to have something in between may feel socially awkward and is encouraged to seek professional counseling in dealing with this problem.
